Dancey LaFleur is a native Duluthian, and began dancing at the age of three in her own mother's dance class. Throughout adolescence, Dancey received training from the Minnesota Ballet in various forms, including ballet, modern and jazz before discovering belly dance. She began taking classes in Minneapolis at the esteemed Jawaahir studio and continued taking classes after graduating high school from various teachers in Duluth. In 2009, she began dancing under local teacher/ dancer Ziola, and together with Pamela Clifton, they formed the tribal fusion troupe Tribal Alchemie. She danced with Tribal Alchemie for nearly 5 years, gaining extensive experience in improvisational tribal style dance, enjoying the sisterhood of dance and performing frequently with her talented troupe mates. In 2012, Dancey became one of the founding members of Duluth Dolls Burlesque and Cabaret Dance. These days, this doll finds herself teaching, building choreography, refining and broadening her performance skills, and raising two beautiful wild things thing.
